The 80’s
A decade I cannot seem to get out of my head. Not only did we literally rock, but we also looked the part with our long hair, Aqua Net hairspray, eyeliner, and bandanas. It was a lifestyle.
I can still remember the smell of the smoke that billowed up from the stage at my first Kiss concert, and the larger-than-life personas that took the stage. I left there in awe—and a little deaf as well. Concerts will forever be the pinnacle of pride for an 80’s teen. The music was unmatched: Ozzy, Crüe, Def Leppard, and Ratt, just to name a few.
If you grew up in the 70s and 80s, you're lucky to be alive. We roamed the streets as kids, rode our bicycles miles from home until 3 a.m., and when we learned to drive, we were at parties in the middle of the woods. Good times? No, great times.
Gone but not forgotten. If you ever need a time machine, just put on that familiar song and drift back to an era that I feel will never be matched.
